Do I talk to “real doctors”?
Yes. TeledocX members only talk to actual doctors who are U.S. board-certified internists, state-licensed family practitioners, and pediatricians licensed to practice medicine in the U.S. and living in the U.S. When you request a visit, TeledocX will connect you with a doctor licensed in your state.
What are some of the common conditions TeledocX treats?
Common conditions include sinus problems, respiratory infection, allergies, urinary tract infection, cold and flu symptoms and many other non-emergency illnesses.
Can TeledocX handle my emergency situations?
TeledocX is primarily designed to handle non-emergency medical problems. If you are having a medical emergency, you should dial 911. If you are unsure if your incident is an emergency, which is common, a TeledocX doctor can help you make that determination.
Can I request a particular doctor?
Yes, you may request a particular doctor.
Can I use it for my family?
Yes. The TeledocX service is for you, your spouse and your dependents.
Can I get a prescription?
Yes. However, it is up to the doctor to recommend the best treatment. TeledocX doctors do not issue prescriptions for substances controlled by the DEA, non-therapeutic, and/or certain other drugs which may be harmful because of their potential for abuse. Also, non-therapeutic drugs such as Viagra and Cialis are not prescribed by TeledocX doctors.

How are prescriptions sent to the pharmacy?
Prescriptions are submitted electronically or by phone to the pharmacy of your choice.
Is my electronic health record kept private?
Health information is HIPAA compliant and all health records are kept totally private. We employ robust encryption methods to protect your personal information.
Can I be turned down for a pre-existing condition?
No. We do not turn patients away because of pre-existing conditions.
Can I call TeledocX outside of the United States?
TeledocX visits are available in most parts of North and South America.
